The Roaring '20s
Here we are, a new decade and while we all have looked back in the decade that passed, we are also looking forward to the decade that will be and I must say, it looks as promising as it can be.
We all met 2020 with a lot of hope and promise not only to ourselves but to the people that matter the most to us and I think that's a great deal. We all want the best for everyone but now that I'm in my mid-30s (I ain't gonna deny that one), priorities have certainly shifted and focus has also been redirected. And while I am writing my first blog post for quite awhile, I cannot help but wonder what else is in store for me as well as everyone else for the year.
It's crazy to think that we're in the '20s of the century...wow, 2020! For someone who was born in the 1980s, that's something to think about. Although I am still waiting for the Jetsons-themed future that I was hoping for when the clock struck 12 midnight back in 2000. But to be honest, technology has reached far and beyond with whatever we have imagined it would be. And while we aren't getting the flying cars (just to avoid traffic), we have made it way easier to communicate and to spread the word around the world.
The decade that was proved not only trying for us but also enlightening, almost enriching our lives. First of all, I got married (yes, hahaha! Got someone who actually wanted to spend the rest of his life with me), had kids (OMG! That is yet another chapter unfolding with each of them having their own phases I cannot keep up with), found my mum tribe (who has saved me from my blackhole that I thought I was trapped in) and enjoying and learning so much in the virtual world as I have immersed myself in working full time online (it's not as easy as people may think it is). There's still so much more to talk about hence the chapters and phases that I'll be writing about is somewhat of an outlet but at the same time, also to reach out to other people who may be going through the same thing or know someone who's going through the same thing as I am...
So come with me in my journey as we welcome the roaring '20s of our century...I love to hear from everyone else and to learn along the way too.
